The Cow Herd
Since 1983 we have continually been building and improving our Commercial Red Angus Herd.
By choosing bloodlines with strong maternal instincts, superb conformation, fleshing ability, carcass traits and gentle disposition, the 94 Cattle Co. herd has a foundation consisting of many desirable traits.
Breeding & Selection
Proper animal husbandry practices, accurate record keeping and personal experience and knowledge keep this herd in top condition. We are continually stiving for fleshing ability, soundness, carcass traits, good utters and disposition. Low producing animals don’t slip through the cracks.
The Process
94 Cattle graze 9-10 months and calve in a 50 day period with normally over 90% born in the first 30 days. First calf heifers are AI bred with a 85% success rate calving in a 10 day period. The remainder of bull-bred heifers calve withing a 40 day window.
Mature cows pasture calve on their own.
